About this template

Hale and Rourke is a website template for an accounting practice, set like a ledger: a thin rule between every entry, a label in small caps on the left, the entry across the middle and the figure on the right with a dotted leader, so a visitor reads the site the way an accountant reads a page. The demo is a twelve-person practice in Dublin's Ranelagh with fixed fees agreed in advance, in a classic serif with tabular numerals.

The home page is the ledger's first page: the statement 'Your numbers, kept in order.' across the top, four rows that count up as the page loads (people, years, clients, missed deadlines), the six services as rows with a line each and the fee from euros on the right, the firm in three paragraphs beside the founders' portrait, how we work in five rows, three client words with trades, the next three deadlines as dated rows and the address with a map. Each of the six service pages (Bookkeeping, Tax returns, Payroll, Year-end accounts, Starting a company, Families and estates) sets what is included as rows, the steps as numbered rows, the fee, a FAQ of five rows that open, and the people who do the work. People presents the twelve as rows with portraits, roles and a direct email and phone. Fees is one long ledger of twenty rows with euro fees, what is included and how billing works. The year is twelve dated deadline rows with a plain sentence each. Insights holds six dated articles. Contact gives the address, hours, phone, email, parking and the bus and tram.

To make it yours, describe your practice in a chat with Firevibe: your services and fees, your people with portraits and direct lines, your year's deadlines, your articles and your office. The rules, the leaders and the counting figures stay; the entries become yours.

Best use cases

Independent accounting practice

Bookkeeping, tax, payroll and year-end accounts on one site, each a page with its scope, steps and fee, and the people who do it named.

Monthly bookkeeping firm

The bookkeeping page sets out reconciliation, invoices, VAT records and monthly summaries, and the fee ledger separates sole traders, small companies and growing businesses.

Payroll bureau

Payroll sits in the service rows and the fee ledger priced by employee count, with the payroll people named on the People page.

Family and estate adviser

The Families and estates page lists gift and inheritance tax, written advice and working with solicitors, with a consultation fee above the steps.

Features

Ledger rows

A thin rule between entries, a small-caps label on the left, the entry across the middle, the figure on the right with a dotted leader, on every page.

Rules that draw themselves

The ledger's rules draw down the home page on load, one after another, and the four figures count up as the rules arrive.

Services with fees

Six rows on the home page with a line each and the fee from euros; six pages with scope, steps, fee, FAQ and the people.

FAQ rows that open

Five questions per service page, each opening with an animated height.

Fee ledger

Twenty rows with fees in euros and the billing unit (monthly, quarterly, annual, per return), then what is included and how billing works.

The year's deadlines

Twelve dated rows, each with one plain sentence on what the deadline means and for whom, revealing one at a time.

People with direct lines

Twelve portraits with roles and one line each, and a direct email and phone on the right of every row.

Insights

Six dated articles with a reading page each in the ledger's measure.
