About this template
Rowe and Castellan is a website template for a law firm set like a serious newspaper: a masthead with the firm's name and a dateline that shows today's date, two editorial columns with hanging indents and marginal notes, practice areas as numbered sections, people as bylines, and one photograph, the firm's black door, where a front page would carry its picture. The demo is an eighteen-solicitor firm in Edinburgh's New Town, founded 1994, writing in plain English.
The home page is the front page: the statement 'Clear advice, from people who answer the phone.' as a headline across both columns, two paragraphs under it, the door with its caption, the six sections as a contents list, how a matter proceeds in five numbered steps down one column, three client words as pull quotes and two insights as teasers, with the address, hours and map at the foot. The six practice pages (Property, Family, Employment, Wills and estates, Small business, Disputes) set what the team does in the two columns, the matter's steps, the people who do the work as bylines, fees from pounds where fixed and five questions in bold with their answers. People presents six partners and twelve solicitors as bylines with portraits, areas, a short bio and a direct email and phone. Fees is a classified column of ten fixed-fee matters with dotted leaders, the hourly bands with and without VAT, and how billing works. Insights holds eight articles, each a reading page in the two columns with a pull quote and marginal notes. Contact gives the address and map, hours, phone, email, parking, step-free access and the way from Waverley.
To make it yours, describe your firm in a chat with Firevibe: your practice areas and how a matter proceeds in each, your people with portraits and direct lines, your fees, your articles and your office. The broadsheet stays; the words become yours.

Family and Wills and estates sections with guidance on separation, powers of attorney and executors, and fixed fees for wills and powers of attorney.
Small business law
Small business, Employment and Disputes group the advice business owners ask for, with insights on terms of business and settlement agreements.
