About this template

Signal is a website template for a conference: the programme first, the speakers as people with pages, the venue with everything a traveller asks, and tickets that are a prepared email. The demo is a two-day product design conference in a former gasworks hall in Amsterdam with twelve speakers, two tracks and four hundred seats, set in a heavy grotesque with one blue and one yellow.

The home page opens on the name in enormous type that flips into place, the dates and the city, one line of promise, a live countdown and two buttons, then a marquee of the talk topics, the twelve speakers in a mixed-size grid of portraits whose talk titles slide in on hover, the two days in brief, the venue with a photograph and the map, three ticket tiers in a row with the middle one featured, eight sponsors set in type and a closing band. Speakers gives each a portrait, role and company, the talk title, a three-paragraph abstract and the slot. Schedule is a time grid from 9:00 to 18:00 with two tracks, a filter to show one, breaks, lunch and the party; each talk links to its speaker. Venue has four photographs, the address and map, tram, train and bike directions, three hotels with addresses and phones, and accessibility in three lines. Tickets repeats the tiers with what each includes, the refund terms and an email button per tier. Sponsors offers three packages with prices and an email button. Contact gives the organiser's email, phone and address, and the code of conduct.

To make it yours, describe your event in a chat with Firevibe: the name, dates and city, your speakers with portraits and abstracts, your schedule and tracks, your venue, your tiers and prices, your sponsors. The flip, the grid and the ticket emails are rebuilt around it.

Best use cases

Product or design conference

Each speaker page pairs the talk with an abstract and a slot; the two tracks sit side by side in the grid with the breaks between them.

Developer event

The schedule's filter shows one track at a time, and talks link to their speakers; the code of conduct has its own place on Contact.

Festival or community gathering

The marquee, the countdown and the party on the first night carry the atmosphere; the venue page answers how to get there and where to sleep.

Event sold by invoice

Ticket buttons open an email with the tier in the subject and the refund terms are stated in plain words; no checkout, no accounts.

How it works

  1. Use the template

Sign up or log in, and the template's code is copied into a new project of your own. The site is served right away, at its own address.

  2. Change it by chat

Describe what you want different: the words, the images, the pages, the colors. Firevibe edits the code and the preview updates.

  3. Publish

Put the site live on a firevibe.dev address, or connect your own domain.

Features

Departure-board flip

The hero's letters flip into place as the page loads, the home page's one orchestrated moment.

Countdown and marquee

A live countdown in days, hours and minutes, and a slow marquee of the talk topics that pauses under the cursor.

Pointer-aware speaker grid

Twelve portraits in a mixed-size grid; a portrait brightens and its talk title slides in toward the cursor.

Speaker pages

Portrait, role and company, the talk title, a three-paragraph abstract, the track and the slot, with links to the schedule and the tickets.

Schedule grid with a filter

9:00 to 18:00 across two days and two tracks, breaks and lunch marked; the track filter reflows the grid with a cross-fade.

Ticket tiers

Early, Regular and Team of four in one row with the middle one featured, inclusions as a list and the refund terms below.

Tickets by email

Each tier's button opens an email with a prepared subject and the tier in the body.

Venue for travellers

Four photographs, the address and map, tram, train and bike directions, three hotels with phones and accessibility notes.

Sponsor packages

Three packages with what they include and prices, and an email button for enquiries; sponsors appear on the home page as names set in type, never logos.

Code of conduct

Six lines on the Contact page covering the hall, the party and online, with how to report a concern.
