Bu şablon hakkında
Slow Roads is a website template for a travel and food journal, built so the map is the index: the home page draws a map of the world in the site's own ink with a numbered dot for every piece written, a card with the title and photograph on hover, and a list beside it that mirrors the map, each highlighting the other. The demo is a journal kept since 2019 by a photographer and a cook based in Hanoi, forty-eight long pieces across six countries, in warm film photography.
The newest piece sits above the map as the hero, its photograph full-bleed with the title set into it. Pieces are reading pages: the title, place and month, a reading time, the photograph, six to ten paragraphs in a generous measure with four to six full-width photographs between them, pull quotes, a progress line at the top, the map at the foot with the piece's dot marked and three nearby pieces, and the previous and next. Places gives each of the six countries a page with its pieces as rows, a short text on travelling there overland and the map zoomed to it. Food is an index of thirty dishes in a mixed-size grid, each linked to its piece. The writers tells the two in three paragraphs with the way they travel in five short sections, the cameras and the notebooks, and eight photographs. Newsletter explains the monthly letter, with an email field that mails and the last three letters as short pages. Contact gives the two emails and Instagram.
To make it yours, describe your journal in a chat with Firevibe: your pieces with their places, months and photographs, your countries, your dishes, your writers and your email. The map is drawn with your places and the dots arrive in your order.
Kullanım alanları
Travel journal
The numbered map and the dated list organise a body of writing by place; a reader enters through a dot or follows the pieces in order.
Food writing
The dish index links thirty dishes to the pieces and places behind them, with a photograph each.
Photography-led journal
The hero and the full-width photographs in every piece put the images beside the words, with the photographer credited at the top of each piece.
A journal kept by two
The writers page presents the pair, their habits and their tools, and the pieces credit words and photographs separately.

Özellikler
The drawn map
An SVG map in one ink colour that draws itself on load, coastlines first, then the dots in the order the pieces were written, the newest last and brightest.
Dots and cards
A dot grows under the cursor and a small card with the title and photograph fades in; a click opens the piece.
The mirrored list
Rows with the number, the place, the title and the month beside the map; a row and its dot highlight each other.
Reading pages
A generous measure, full-width photographs between paragraphs, pull quotes, a reading time and a progress line that follows the reading.
Map at the foot
Every piece ends with the map, its own dot marked, lines drawn to three nearby pieces, and previous and next.
Country pages
Six pages with the country's pieces as rows, a short text on overland travel there and the map zoomed to the country.
Dish index
Thirty dishes in a mixed-size grid with their places, each linked to the piece it appears in.
The writers
Three paragraphs, five sections on the way they travel, the cameras and notebooks, eight photographs in an alternating layout.
Monthly letter
An email field that opens a request to join, and the last three letters readable on the site; nothing is stored.
Contact and colophon
The two emails, Instagram and the city; a colophon on permissions and the typefaces.
