Hale and Rourke is a website template for an accounting practice, set like a ledger: a thin rule between every entry, a label in small caps on the left, the entry across the middle and the figure on the right with a dotted leader, so a visitor reads the site the way an accountant reads a page. The demo is a twelve-person practice in Dublin's Ranelagh with fixed fees agreed in advance, in a classic serif with tabular numerals.
The home page is the ledger's first page: the statement 'Your numbers, kept in order.' across the top, four rows that count up as the page loads (people, years, clients, missed deadlines), the six services as rows with a line each and the fee from euros on the right, the firm in three paragraphs beside the founders' portrait, how we work in five rows, three client words with trades, the next three deadlines as dated rows and the address with a map. Each of the six service pages (Bookkeeping, Tax returns, Payroll, Year-end accounts, Starting a company, Families and estates) sets what is included as rows, the steps as numbered rows, the fee, a FAQ of five rows that open, and the people who do the work. People presents the twelve as rows with portraits, roles and a direct email and phone. Fees is one long ledger of twenty rows with euro fees, what is included and how billing works. The year is twelve dated deadline rows with a plain sentence each. Insights holds six dated articles. Contact gives the address, hours, phone, email, parking and the bus and tram.
