About this template

Vela is a website template for a tasting-menu restaurant, built so the home page is tonight's menu: nine courses, one full screen each, snapping as you scroll, the plate photographed from above on dark linen with the course's name, where its main ingredient came from and the wine poured with it. The demo is a twenty-two-seat room in Paris's 11th arrondissement run by a chef and a sommelier, dinner only, priced in euros.

The first screen is the room with the name and 'Nine courses. One table. Tuesday to Saturday.'; the nine courses follow with a counting index on the edge; the last screen is the pass with the chef's welcome and the reservation line; then the price of the evening (menu 145 €, pairing 85 €), three guest words, the address, hours and map. The menu page sets the nine courses on one page with the month's date and the notes on allergies and the vegetable menu. The room shows eight photographs in an alternating story with two paragraphs on the building. The people presents the chef and the sommelier with portraits and a paragraph each, and the six others with first names and roles. Reservations gives the two seatings, the phone as a link, WhatsApp with the date, seating and guests prepared, and the cancellation line. Journal has four dated entries; Contact the address, hours, phone, email, Instagram, the map and the metro.

To make it yours, describe your restaurant in a chat with Firevibe: your courses with their photographs, origins and wines, your prices and seatings, your room and your people, your phone and WhatsApp. The nine screens are rebuilt around your menu, whatever its length.

Best use cases

Monthly tasting menu

The menu page is dated by month and the nine screens are the dishes; changing the month's courses changes the home page.

Chef and sommelier

Both have a portrait and a paragraph on The people, every course names its wine, and the journal carries a cellar entry.

Small fine dining room

Eight photographs of the window, the pass, a laid table, the ceramics and the courtyard document a room of twenty-two seats; the team is named.

Dinner-only restaurant

Reservations centres on two seatings, Tuesday to Saturday, by phone or WhatsApp, with the confirmation and cancellation terms stated.

How it works

  1. Use the template

Sign up or log in, and the template's code is copied into a new project of your own. The site is served right away, at its own address.

  2. Change it by chat

Describe what you want different: the words, the images, the pages, the colors. Firevibe edits the code and the preview updates.

  3. Publish

Put the site live on a firevibe.dev address, or connect your own domain.

Features

Nine snapping screens

Each course fills the viewport and snaps with a soft ease; the name and the lines fade in a beat after the plate settles.

Counting index

A thin index on the right edge counts the courses as you move through the evening.

Plates from above

Every course photographed from directly above on the linen, in one dark warm tone across the site.

Origin and wine

Three lines under each course: what it is, where the main ingredient came from, the wine poured with it.

Candle rising

On the first screen the candle's light rises slowly in the room as the page loads.

Menu and prices

The nine courses on one page with the month, the menu and pairing prices and the dietary notes with their 48-hour request.

The room's story

Eight photographs in an alternating layout with the history of the building.

The people

The chef and the sommelier with portraits and a paragraph, and the kitchen and the room as a row of first names and roles.

Reservations as a conversation

The two seatings, the phone as a tel link, WhatsApp with a prepared message and the cancellation line; no form.

Journal and contact

Four dated entries from the kitchen and the cellar; the address, hours, phone, email, Instagram, map and metro on Contact and in the footer.
