Design direction

This is the app equivalent of a private members' club you weren't sure you'd get into — and now you're in. The canvas is near-black espresso (#0C0B09), not the flat black of tech apps but the warm, ink-soaked darkness of a candlelit drawing room. Every surface has warmth baked in. Champagne gold (#C9A96E) is used with extreme restraint — a thread, never a flood — appearing only on active states, tier badges, and the occasional rule line, like a monogram on fine stationery. Typography is the hero: Cormorant Garamond headlines set large and loose-tracked, with generous leading, evoking a Condé Nast Traveller spread from the 90s. DM Sans handles all utility text at optical sizes — never competing, always deferring. Cards are #161410 — darker than the background only by a whisper, separated by shadow rather than border. Photography bleeds to every edge; text overlays use a gradient veil of background color at 60% opacity, never a flat scrim. Spacing is deliberately generous — this app breathes. Nothing is crowded.
