Design direction

Wavelength feels like a warm-lit listening room after dark — think Overcast's restraint crossed with the editorial calm of a well-set magazine. The canvas is a deep warm charcoal-ink, never pure black, so glossy cover art radiates against it. Coral-salmon (#ff6f5e) is used sparingly and meaningfully: play buttons, progress fills, active states, subscribe CTAs — it should feel like the warm pulse of audio, not decoration. Typography is the quiet hero: Sora gives show titles a confident geometric stance, Inter keeps episode metadata (duration, date, progress) legible and unfussy in soft warm-white and muted taupe-grey. Generous breathing room, gentle 14px corners on cards and artwork, and barely-there shadows keep the focus entirely on content. Album art always dominates — large, sharp, square, never cropped into gimmicks. The personality: intimate, knowing, made by an obsessive listener who hates clutter.
