Design direction

Streaks lives in the space between midnight and 6am — the hours when serious people do serious work on themselves. The background is not black but a deep inkwell (#0C0C0C), warm enough to feel like paper, cold enough to feel like focus. The sole accent is a dusty violet-lavender (#A78BFA) — not electric, not playful, but the color of a candle in a dark room. It appears sparingly: on checked habits, on streak badges, on the single CTA button. Everything else is achieved through layered near-blacks: #0C0C0C for the canvas, #131318 for cards, #161620 for inputs. There are no borders anywhere — separation is implied through tonal depth alone. Typography is Inter at generous letter-spacing (0.04em on labels, 0.08em on uppercase metadata), with hierarchy built entirely through weight and opacity rather than size jumps. The heatmap is the app's single most expressive moment — a quiet grid where lavender intensity tells your story without a word. Interactions are slow and deliberate: checkboxes bloom with a 300ms ease-out fill, not a snap. The entire experience should feel like closing a journal and placing it on a clean desk.
